ABOUT US

Founded in 2001, FSA Financial Science and Art Ltd. provides proprietary software and investment research to institutional investors and retail brokers.

FSA uses a metric called CASH FLOW INTERNAL RATE OF RETURN or simply CFIRR as the key performance measurement in our investment research tools.  The notion of “cash is king” was always known intuitively but was never really proven to have statistical significance until technology evolved and allowed economists and investors to prove their theories.  Now, there is irrefutable proof that “cash is king” and that cash flow performance metrics help provide major insights into investing.

FSA's QuickFINANCIAL Suite, consisting of QuickVALUATION and QuickSCREEN, with QuickPORTFOLIO currently in development, allow investors to earn superior portfolio returns.

HISTORY OF THE FIRM

Founded by Matt Kacur, an expert in Value Based Management, FSA launched it's QuickVALUATION research tool in 2001.

Mr. Kacur recognized that regardless of an industry’s specific drivers, valuation always comes down to CASH FLOW, CASH on CASH RETURNS and that CASH is KING.

His professional experience made it apparent that there was need for investment analysis tools that were focused on CASH FLOW and NOT EARNINGS.  Wall Street and Bay Street research has been primarily focused on earnings and P/E multiples despite overwhelming evidence that CASH FLOW and RETURN ON CAPITAL is more highly correlated with true economic and stock market performance.  Investors during the internet bubble of 2000 forgot that CASH IS KING.  It was the perfect opportunity to build tools focused on CASH FLOW and RETURN ON CAPITAL.

TODAY’S SUITE OF TOOLS

FSA continues to work on developing new and exciting tools.  The focus to date has been on customer service by keeping good stock trading ideas in front of our clients, by publishing reports and by maintaining ongoing communication with our clients.

In 2008, QuickSCREEN was launched to give our users much more power at their fingertips.  We expect clients to adopt our software much more easily into their daily investment process.  We are happy to assist our clients in coming up with stock investment ideas, but we envision much more client interactivity directly with our suite of tools.  We feel that empowerment is the key.

MOVING FORWARD

While developing QuickSCREEN, we were able to envision many more features and benefits that we never thought possible until now.  There is a virtually endless stream of ideas that could be incorporated into our suite of tools.  As we move forward, we will keep building better, faster and more robust tools, but we will always be focused on CASH FLOW and RETURN ON CAPITAL.

FSA is currently developing QuickPORTFOLIO, which will be available shortly.
